Support the Band

Running a competitive, first-class band program is expensive! Conroe ISD covers the basic band costs such as the Directors’ salaries, facilities, formal uniforms for marching, and some larger instruments. The program relies heavily on the financial and volunteer commitments of the Booster Club to raise funds towards all the extras that make an exceptional band program! These costs include;

– The drill writer and choreographer (who creates the marching show) and music

– Clinicians for master classes and sectionals

– Marching, percussion & guard techs and color guard directors’ salaries

– New equipment/instruments

– Instrument maintenance

– Props

– Uniforms (Band overlays and Guard costumes)

– Competition fees

– Upkeep of band trailer

– Video/audio recordings

– Non-UIL transportation costs

– Scholarships awarded to band & guard graduating seniors

– End of year banquet and awards

Covering these costs is absolutely essential to the success of the band. This ensures that, as a 6A band, we are at par with our fellow competitors.

Some are covered by large and small fundraising activities conducted throughout the year

Some of these costs are covered by our gracious donors and supporters (band families and friends, community leaders and corporations) in the form of sponsorships and donations

Some are included in the Fair Share allocation. The Band Directors and the Booster Club determine a dollar amount (a “fair share”) for each individual student, each year. This represents a proportionate amount to support the activities of the organization.
